Moderators volunteer a little of their precious time and energy to help make ReformedUnificationism a viable destination for reform-minded Unificationists. These users might need a bit of hand-holding here and there. And without thoughtful and engaged moderators, this reform effort might not pan out that well, if at all.
Unificationists applying to serve as moderators are not charged a subscription fee as the Moderator account is free. Moderators are tasked with keeping the forums healthy and discourse on-track, they have the ability to archive and spam posts, as well as manage the spam and pending queues. They are expected to escalate any issues to the Keymaster (Admin) if it is required.
Generally, we rely on the bbpress codex at https://codex.bbpress.org/getting-started/forum-moderation/ to figure out more details.
Moderators have access to all forums and hold much sway over managing their assigned forum(s) and users. Moderators are expected to make their commitment for perhaps a year, given favorable circumstances. They are also expected to publicize ReformedUnificationism in the larger Unification community to drive engagement.
Moderators are very familiar with the site’s policies, such as the User Agreement, Acceptable Use Agreement, and Posting Guidelines, all of which inform their managerial responsibilities regarding the forums. In addition, moderators are also informed by the fair spirit of ‘Unificationism.’
Moderators coming on board early will need to be approved by the site’s administrator. Eventually, an emerging core group of ‘tried and true’ moderators will be involved in the selection of additional moderators down the road − if necessary at all.
Let’s chat more about how to go forward…
Thanks for your consideration.
